What norms exist for net ?

Today, only personal safety netting has to conform to norms. They must respect French and/or European norms NF-EN1263-1. This concerns braided knotted netting in polyamide, in mesh of 60 mm (French norm) or in mesh of 100 mm (European norm).  The french norms require two times more strength than the european norms.

Norms do not exist on other protection netting. For example, for debris nets, there are no norms requiring you to hang netting or tarpaulins on scaffoldings, but there are some recommendations from the Social Security Board

The other norms are for fireproofing treatments which are more and more often required by different public or private organisations; it is a requisite on industrials sites for example.
